This came direct from the production studio after the series finished in 1985. It is an early "prototype" Herne's Arrow, made of wood and painted silver. It shares almost the exact detailing of the screen used arrow, which was finally made of aluminium for the show. The head was redesigned for the screen used one, and the runes were changed,
I also own a hand-drawn, early concept sketch for the arrow. It was more sleek and dart like. There was one other wooden prototype existing, but it was destroyed whilst being shipped from overseas. This is now the only one remaining. The actual screen used arrow and box was discovered in early 2025 in a prop store warehouse where they had remained together since the show finished.
