This is Daryl "The Rain King" Mootz's (Clayton Rohner) unused leg stump from the popular science fiction series The X-Files. In the Season 6 episode "The Rain King," Mulder and Scully (David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson) come across a man who claims to control the weather. The man has a prosthetic leg which he takes off to make it rain. This piece was meant to be used during the scene in which Rain King loses his leg, but the shot was not used. This piece is made of urethane with a foam core, painted to resemble flesh. A resin tibia and fibula are sticking out of the bottom, broken off just below the stump with ligaments, tendons, and fake blood extruding. The upper portion of the piece has thin urethane, and the opening is wide so that it would fit over the actor's leg, folded at the knee. There is fabric inside, with a strap to attach it to the leg.
