When Arnold (Jeffrey Wright) was developing the hosts with Ford (Sir Anthony Hopkins), he knew there was a chance that they could develop consciousness and created a test of sorts for them to discover their own potential. This test would lead them to the maze, an artifact of Arnold\\\\s (Wright) creation that represents conscious thought. Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) finds the maze game twice, once with Arnold (Wright) who tries to explain it to her and again in the present timeline. Another has been hunting the maze as well, MIB (Ed Harris), but to him it only appears as a simple wooden child\\\\s toy because \\\"this game is not meant for him. The Maze continues to appear throughout the series and becomes a beacon for truth. This circular cardboard box was the one buried in season 1, episode 10, The Bicameral Mind. This particular game was made for season 4 episode 3 when Bernard Lowe (Jeffrey Wright) is in the sublime
