This is an original 6” x 6” hand-painted section of the fiberglass wall from the subway turtle lair set featured in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze (1991) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993).
The location was inspired by a real-life closed New York City subway station called City Hall station, which shut down in 1945. The film's actual subway and shaft sets were built and filmed at Screen Gems in Wilmington, North Carolina, and were later reused in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993) before being moved to Vancouver for the short-lived Fox Kids television series Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation (1997).
