The classic white and black armor and static voices make Stormtroopers the most recognized characters in the saga; their trademark weapon is the BlastTec E-11 blaster rifle. The original prop was fashioned from a decommissioned WWII British Sterling submachine gun. The prop makers added a railing towards the stock to attach a WWII Sherman tank scope and placed plastic T-tracks in the barrel vents to give the weapon an more futuristic feel. The thirty-round magazine was replaced with a shorter three-round magazine to act as a the power supply. From this principle prop, several resin copies were made for the actors to use. Master Replicas was given access to the LucasFilm archives to study all the surviving pieces from the original 1977 flick. Their engineers chose to focus on the heavier principle prop for their replica. Through careful examination and study, the engineers were able to produce this very accurate, highly-coveted piece. Limited Edition 3359/3500.
