Made by Indy Magnoli, this breathtaking piece of art represents the diary the Bilbo kept of his adventures in the Hobbit which was then passed to Frodo (and eventually Sam) to record the story of the Lord of the Rings. It contains over 300 pages of written entries and drawings written by three different authers in three different handwriting styles (one for each Bilbo, Frodo and Sam). The red leather for the cover and the pages in side are aged and weathered to exhibit the years of erosion the book has undergone sitting first in the Shire and then in the libraries of Minas Tirith. It is absolutely the centerpiece and pride of my collection.
