An original costumr design from the Arnold Schwarzenegger classsic Conan The
Barbarian. This incredibly detailed hand
illustrated piece depicts designer John Bloomfield’s vision for the Young Conan and his protective mother “Nadiuska”, and has been
created using a simulating collage of
magazine and paper clippings to make an
impressively unique image, giving the costume makers some wonderful inspirstion when
constructing the wardrobe for the movie. Both characters are wearing leathers and furs with
interesting patters, the mother wielding al large dagger. It has been labelled in pencil “Conan & Mother” and includes several cloth swatches for the costumes accompanied by small
Spanish notes in pencil. It has been hand signed in pencil by the designer himself
underneath. A stunning piece of artwork in its own right the page measures 33 cm x 46 cm (13” x 18”) and is in excelent condition with a few smudges most likely from the artists own hand.
