Down below is the listing from the seller who was the director of the newspaper printing press used to help makes these for the film.
This newspaper is from the original and only run of newspapers printed to create the prop for the opening scene of Home Alone 2.
In 1992, as marketing director of the Chicago Sun-Times, I worked directly with prop master Billy (William) Dambra to design this newspaper prop, "Wet Bandits escape during prison riot" for Home Alone 2. This newspaper prop is printed on genuine Chicago Sun-Times newsprint and printed on the presses of the Chicago Sun-Times. The photographs of Harry & Marv were provided by the prop master and returned. This copy of the newspaper was given to me by the prop master prior to sending the other copies to the set.
