Here’s my recent acquisition from The Walking Dead an absolute grail piece! This is Negan’s screen-matched (photo-matched) hero Lucille, and it’s very easy to match it to the scenes the scuffs, markings, barbed wire, and paint all line up perfectly.
This prop comes from the last time we see Negan with Lucille one of the best episodes of the entire series. I believe it’s one of the most meaningful props associated with Negan, as it’s from the emotional scene where he reflects on his life and finally says goodbye to his beloved baseball bat.
Fun fact: This is one of only three bats created by prop master Kelly Farrah for that sequence, which concludes with Negan burning “Lucille” once and for all. Intentionally splintered and distressed by production, this wooden baseball bat is wrapped in real metal barbed wire.
Back in 2023, one of the three bats (which was not photo-matched or screen-matched) sold for over $40,000 at the Propstore auction.
