This is a miniature prop car seen in the Republic Pictures serials Spy Smasher (1942), The Perils of Nyoka (1942) and The Adventures of Captain Marvel (1941) It is assumed Nyoka was it's last film as the driver bears a strong resemblance to the actor who drives the car off the cliff.
This little wooden car came to me missing a lot of parts and with no backstory - But with the help of some good friends I traced the car back to the son of the man who originally built it for Republic (The car was built by the Lydecker brothers) and a positive verification of its provenence.
