This is Maya's (Carolina Garcia) severed sfx bust from the 2008 horror film, Asylum. As Maya and a group of college freshmen stumble into an old restricted area during college orientation they awaken the spirit of a mad doctor. This item can be seen towards the beginning of the film as the mad doctor proceeds to torture and torment Maya in the same way he tortured his patients in 1939 at Burke Asylum!
The bust is crafted out of silicon and features a removable top portion of head with an interior that has been painted and detailed to resemble a severed brain. Both blood soaked pieces exhibit dark brown hand punched hair, with the bust featuring eyebrows and eyelashes. Additionally, the bust is wearing a white tank top which is also covered in dried fake blood. Both items feature production distressing and dried fake blood (see photos) but remain in very good condition.
