The base of this replica Luke ROTJ lightsaber is a metal blank (similar to the one in the second image) that has been produced for Star Wars ANH. I have added a real Graflex middle band and a custom machined aluminum pommel with D-ring. The metal blank was a gift from a person with whom I worked with on a movie in 1997. He was a special effects technician on the original Star Wars ANH and co-created the mechanical lightsaber effects.
This is as close as you can get to the real deal!
