Here’s one of my grail This is a screen-matched Peter Stormare Lucifer costume from Constantine (2005), matched to the scene where Lucifer takes John’s body and wants to bring him to Hell, only to remove his cancer.
Here’s a fun fact that probably nobody knows. To my knowledge, they made two versions of Lucifer’s costume: one with the jacket open in the back and one without the opening. I’m not sure why, but for the stunt work and whenever Lucifer interacts with John, he always wears the version without the opening in the back.
This costume comes directly from the Warner Bros. Archive and still has its original production tags.
The pants are also screen-matched to the scene where Lucifer is finished with John and throws him onto the ground. The various tar effects on the pants are the same size and in the same positions as those seen on screen. Of course, some of the tar has disappeared or worn off over the years.
The entire scene involved a lot of water, and you can see quite a bit of water damage on the pants today, which is another cool piece of evidence showing how heavily this costume was used during filming.
