A vigilante in the 1930s, Lobster Johnson burned his trademark lobster claw on the foreheads of criminals he had captured or killed. The Lobster eventually died during a secret American assault in Austria to stop the Nazi space program in 1939, but he subsequently returned as a ghostly figure, assisting Hellboy fight paranormal threats.
