Leeloo's (Milla Jovovich) orange suspenders from Luc Besson's sci-fi adventure The Fifth Element. Leeloo wore her suspenders throughout the latter half of the film as part of her signature outfit, having picked them out from a selection of clothes at Father Vito Cornelius' (Ian Holm) home.Envisioned by celebrated costume and fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier, these braces are made of cast orange silicone and feature several circular cutouts. Made specifically for Jovovich in the role of Leeloo, the form-fitting suspenders consist of straps which run from the shoulders, down under the crotch and up the back. There are elastic loops embedded in the silicone on the inside, marking where the chest section is, and the suspenders exhibit minor wear from production use, including small tears in the silicone.
