Here is my replica of the Lao Che/Eye of the Peacock Diamond I picked up a few years ago. It was made by a movie prop maker based in Hong Kong. This particular prop was featured prominently in the opening sequence of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. This particular prop is sometimes referred to as the Peacock's Eye Diamond by fans of the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles. Fans of both the tv series and the film franchise have connected Lao Che's diamond with a tv movie of Young Indiana Jones, The Treasure of the Peacock's Eye. In the film Indy searches for a legendary diamond called the Peacock's Eye. Many fans have speculated that this exchange is the conclusion of Indy's search for the Eye of the Peacock, as fans will remember Indy gives up the search for the Peacock's Eye believing it to be wild goose chase. This fan theory was loosely confirmed with the release of a Temple of Doom Junior Novel back in 2008.
