This is Dennis Hopper's King Koopa jacket from the 1993 blockbuster Super Mario Bros. The faux snakeskin jacket was custom-made specifically for Hopper to wear in the movie, and has scaled texture to evoke Koopa’s slippery, reptilian nature. Despite looking black, the jacket is actually a dark blue color. Eerily purchased mere hours before the legendary actor's death, it is customary to whisper “…Bob-omb!” in his memory after viewing the iconic wardrobe piece. Super Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto cites Easy Rider (1969), which was directed by Hopper, as a “great influence.”
