When Artie and Mrs. Frederic find that all records pertaining to escaped psychopath Paracelsus have been previously purged for reasons unknown, the Keeper represents the last possible way to get more information. The Keeper is a person, similar to the Guardian or the Caretaker, with one specific critical function for the Warehouse: the retention of all its secrets, accessed with the help of this artifact, Queen Ka'ahumanu's lei niho palaoa. The traditional Hawaiian lei, made from braided ancestral human hair and an ivory whale tooth pendant, embodies the geneological descent of Hawaiian royalty from their gods.
Full-size artificial lei niho palaoa, with nylon strands and plastic whale tooth pendant.
