A screen-used sword made of solid aluminum, painted with black and brass detailing. Though X:WP is based in Ancient Greece, this style of sword seems to take heavy inspiration from the historical Chinese jian, a double-edged straight sword (think Green Destiny from “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon”). Swords of this style make many appearances in season 1 used by various characters: Toxeus, his men, and Xena in “Death in Chains”; Tildus and the centaurs in “Hooves and Harlots”; King Xerxes’ soldiers and Xena in “The Black Wolf”; and Perdicas and the Trojan army in “Beware Greeks Bearing Gifts.”
