This is a rare find! J. Peterman sold these props from the film, Titanic, and the certificate of authenticity indicates it was used in the First Class Dining Room scenes.
The plate is mounted in a gold-leaf shadowbox-style frame with a gold plaque underneath that reads "TITANIC, Twentieth Century Fox, 1997". It has never been removed from the box it was shipped in.
The outer box shows some wear and tear, but is in decent condition. It has a wrapper/tape across the top that says "Titanic" in navy blue and white. Inside the box, the plate is cushioned all around with bubble wrap and wrapped with navy tissue paper which was sealed with a clear Twentieth Century Fox label. The COA itself comes in a brown corrugated tie-top envelope.
