Description

Here is a hero vibranium ingot from AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Although this piece did not make the final cut, this prop represents a significant element within the MCU. Vibranium is a powerful natural resource, the rarest metal on the planet, an element born of a meteorite that collided with Earth in ancient times. Fragments from the meteor's impact landed in a region of Africa and in the Atlantic Ocean adjacent to the Yucatan Peninsula. In the dark days of World War II, a small quantity of the element came into the possession of top Strategic Scientific Reserve inventor Howard Stark. He soon puts this vibranium to good use, creating a prototype shield for the army's one and only super soldier, Captain America. One of vibranium's many remarkable qualities is its sheer durability. It never seems to tarnish, rust or deteriorate. This particular prop is 15 inches long and is cast in solid metal, weighing an incredible 4.5 lbs! An additional cool detail is the maker's stamp with the letter "V" and a flag to represent the country of Wakanda.
