Description

Green doublet and trunk hose worn by Henry Daniell as Sir Robert Cecil in Michael Curtiz’s The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex (WB, 1939), starring Bette Davis and Errol Flynn. The various points where the lines of the diamond patterning meets the trim has been screen-matched. Costume was also worn by Joe E. Brown in Casanova in Burlesque ( Republic, 1944).
