This staff came from an original mold so its exactly what you would have seen in DS9. Where I took mine further than others is I tracked down an original can of the correct gold paint and both cans of the original colors of spray toners that were used in the two part process to make it look more like real wood on screen. This was no easy task...they have all been out of stock for well over 10 years! I then applied the toners exactly as the screen used ones were done...it looks different than other replicas but looks exactly like a real screen used prop. You may have seen some "screen used staffs online in different places that have a grey to black bottom...they claim they are real but NOT so!
