A body armour vest and neck protector worn in the horror action film John Carpenter’s Vampires. This protective equipment can be seen being worn by Father Adam Guiteau (Tim Guinee) as Jack (James Woods) and his ramshackle band of vampire hunters face off against the Vampire Masters at his lair in the desert.
Made of thick padded nylon with elastic strapping around the sides and across the shoulders, the vest is worn over the protective neck guard, a custom-made collar made up of lightweight chain mail which is finished in gold with black trim. Well used on the production, the vest is marked “Fr Adam” internally while the collar is unmarked, with both garments in a very good production-used condition.
