This is one of the more sought-after pieces by Master Replicas. Darth Vader's lightsaber from episode 6 is the last weapon he would use. The original prop from episode 5 was not available, so the prop department had to completely recreate the hilt from scratch from a Luke episode 5 stunt saber. The dueling pole was sawed off, which accounts for the protruding metal piece from the emitter. A black collar was added to the top of the piece to recreate the distinctive shroud. Other black accents and new grips were also added. Master Replicas was given direct access to the original filming prop at the LucasFilm archives, and did meticulous studies to ensure they replicated every last detail. Limited Edition 448/1500. Reportedly, Master Replicas went out of business before they finished the run of this piece.
