Description

As the battle to liberate Naboo neared its end, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Maul - both apprentices to the jedi and sith, respectively - continued their deadly duel. Fueled by anger and rage after just watching his master fall to Maul's blade, Obi-Wan struck back swiftly at the sith apprentice. The highly-trained Maul deflected Kenobi's blows with relative ease, but he was eventually caught off guard, a mistake that would allow Obi-wan to cleave Darth Maul's double-bladed lightsaber clean in half. With the playing field somewhat leveled, Maul recovered from his folly, and eventually bested Obi-wan by nearly causing him to fall to his death. Hanging on for dear life, Kenobi remembered his jedi training, and turned his trust to the Force; calling his fallen master's saber to his hands, Obi-wan elluded and then cut down the dark lord with a vicious hack. Darth Maul's bisected body fell seemingly to its death screaming in agony. After the successful run of the limited and signature editions of Darth Maul's double-bladed lightsaber, Master Replicas decided to give their fans the equally intriguing battle-damaged version of this iconic weapon. Their engineers were given direct access to the stunt prop used by Ray Park during filming. Through meticulous study, they were able to recreate Maul's battle damaged saber, adding elements that weren't on the original one. One noticeable feature is the darker tone to emulate carbon scoring. They also included scratches and other imperfections that would naturally result from heavy fighting. The most noticeable feature is the exposed core at the rear of the saber, showing the intricate power source and synthetic kyber crystals. The last photo shows both the double-bladed and battle-damaged props displayed in a custom case. Limited Edition 437/750.
