This is the screen-used hero Dragons Eye prop from the 2000 film Dungeons and Dragons. It appears to be made out of clear resin or acrylic. It has very natural looking inclusions that make it look very much like a real crystal. There is a small indentation on the back; not sure but it seems to indicate where you were to place your thumb while holding it.
