In the Hellboy comic book story The Corpse, Hellboy battles the boar-headed giant Grom, summoned by a fairy who carries a grudge against Big Red. Hellboy pulls a relic from his belt, this charm against demonic animals 'on loan from the Vatican library', which helps him make short work of the oversized pig.
