Hero replica of the unusually designed Starfleet communicator of 2285. Some fans consider it an aberration, the ugly duckling of Star Trek comms, while others appreciate its distinctive industrial/military style.
Aluminum body, face and lid, with ABS and resin details. Correct hinge, screen-accurate engraved text, and four red LEDs activated by a transmit button on the back.
By Sporak, a true Champion of the Hobby.
Note that this is not the style of comm that Kirk screams his anger through after being left stranded within the Regula asteroid. So don't go around yelling KHAAAANNNN!!! into it; you'll just look dumb.
