This is Carol Gerber’s (Mika Boorem) full-sized body from the 2001 adaptation of Stephen King’s novel Hearts in Atlantis. In the film, young Carol hurts her arm in the woods, and her friend Bobby (Anton Yelchin) carries her all the way through the forest to get help. This body was used during this scene so that Anton wouldn’t have to carry Mika. This body is made of silicone and foam. The head, arms, and feet are made of silicone, crafted to resemble the actress. These pieces were painted the color of flesh to mimic skin, but some of the paint has rubbed off over time. There are hand-punched hair and eyebrows on the head. The silicone pieces are held together by a foam core. The body is covered in a white leotard; the costume was removed after filming. The body measures 60” (152cm) long and about 15” (38cm) wide.
