My handmade replica of Captain Jack's iconic compass. This prop was machined from a section of weathered turpentine timber post, lathed down to give the dome and dial socket shape and hand cut. The ivory coloured inlays are laser cut acrylic and set into hand carved channels in the body. The compass dial is laser cut acrylic and hand painted. The brass work is hand cut, soldered and chemically etched. One of a kind build, a lot of work but an incredibly authentic feeling result.
