This is Captain America's Smithsonian helmet from CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER.
This helmet is featured in the third act of the film when Cap steals his own costume from the Smithsonian museum to battle The Winter Soldier.
This helmet is a modified version of The First Avenger helmet.
The most notable upgrades in design are the engraved wings on the sides that have been painted a darker silver rather than white and the metal A on the forehead instead of the painted on white A.
The leather work is slightly different including a different buckle than the first avenger helmet.
The helmet itself is also slightly different in design, especially around the cheeks which are more defined and chiseled.
I actually like this design far better than the first avenger helmet, especially with how the metal A really pops.
I acquired this production made blue helmet and enlisted the talent of Linda Guarise to rebuild all of the leather and installation of the metal A.
We were able to source the exact buckle used by the production and Linda's rebuilding of all the soft parts is in a word; exquisite.
