A Black Hawk helicopter pilot’s helmet from Ridley Scott’s 2001 war film Black Hawk Down.
Pilots wore their helmets when transporting the soldiers in Black Hawks into Mogadishu. The helmet is made of fibreglass with a polystyrene liner, green cotton retention straps and a webbing chin strap. Original audio equipment, including two wired speakers in the ear cups, remain present. The helmet shell has been painted black and a electronic wire protrudes out of the back.
The helmet has been intentionally distressed for use to look well worn and used. It has scuffing and scratches and retains some of the dusty and sand from the shoot in Morocco. It remains in a very good, production used condition.
