In the last Voyager episode Endgame and the alternate timeline year of 2404, Starfleet Academy cadets in Commander Barclay's class on the Borg each carry one of these PADDs. Later, Barclay himself nervously handles a stack of them, containing student papers to be graded, as he tries to hide Admiral Janeway's whereabouts from 'Joe' the Doctor.
