Communicator design seen in use by Commander Shran in third season episode Proving Ground, and Ambassador Thoris in fourth season episode Terra Prime. Both the original prop and this replica were crafted by modifying an Olympia Soundbug - an electromechanical adaptor that converts any smooth resonant surface into a (mediocre) flat panel speaker. With functional transmit key and light.
