Description

"Inside, you have strong root. No need nothing except what inside you to grow." A 9.5” x 11” “A” camera clapperboard used during the making of The Karate Kid Part III (1989) with remnants of marker handwriting from the set. In addition to the title, the yellow acrylic slate displays the names of Oscar-winning director John Avildsen and cinematographer Steve Yaconelli. Most of the same film crew returned to complete the original Karate Kid trilogy, including screenwriter Robert Mark Kamen and composer Bill Conti. Disgraced sensei John Kreese (Martin Kove) plots revenge on Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Mr. Miyagi (Pat Morita) with the help of his wealthy former Vietnam War compadre Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith). This second sequel was the last to explore Miyagi's paternal relationship with “Daniel-san,” and laid the groundwork for seasons four to six of the Cobra Kai (2018-2025) television series. From the collection of the Karate Kid film franchise's producer, Jerry Weintraub.
