This armor is cast hard rubber. The epaulettes are cast fiberglass. This was used during filming. It has some scratches, scuffs, and chips. It has seen some battle.It has cool braided wrap on the shoulder straps. This was designed by Colleen Atwood the Academy Award winner in 2003 and 2006 for best costume design. It is adjustable and would fit most larger gorillas (it was designed to be worn over a large gorilla muscle suit and other armor). The side closers are velcro. Due to age, the rubber armor has shrunk a bit and the plates have pulled into a concave shape (the edges are curling). Not sure if that can be corrected. There is a hole cut in the back between the shoulder blades to accommodate the wires and flying harnesses used during stunts.
