Xena: Warrior Princess, costume sketch Xena Demon

Original set used concept costume sketch/directions/model sheet of Xena's demon costume from the episode Fallen Angel. Added to the Xena Museum which already houses the screen used Demon costume worn by Lucy Lawless, it is especially educational to see how things changed from concept to final production. Although this sketch is a color copy, it is of the type which was used on set for circulation to the wardrobe team. There would have been only one original pencil sketch, typically accompanied by fabric swatches for the costume, and most likely retained by the designer. From that one original, multiple copies would have been made in color for distribution to the team during wardrobe production. Most of these copies were destroyed/discarded but a few were salvaged. There have been copies made after production ceased and they are in the market so it is necessary to have experience with these in order to assure authenticity based upon certain characteristics such as the type of paper used on set.
