Return of the Living Dead 4: Necropolis, Zombie Baby Silicon Skin Puppet
original movie prop
The unfilled “skin” for a zombie baby puppet, used in the production of the 2005 horror film Return Of The Living Dead 4: Necropolis. When a laboratory accidentally releases a huge amount of toxic Trioxin gas, a zombie outbreak occurs. Babies such as this can be seen in the film as a group of teenagers discover a laboratory while trying to rescue a friend from an evil corporation, suspended in water tanks. The puppet skin is made of silicone and would have been fitted over an aluminium and fibreglass skeleton to complete the piece. The silicone has been painted a light green, while the both the hands and feet have tiny digits sculpted into them. Featuring some minor cracking in the latex and supplied unfilled, the baby’s skin remains in an overall good production-used condition. When filled, the puppet measures approximately 46cm x 23cm (18” x 9”).
