Eureka, Zane Donovan Repurposed TV Remote

Shortly after we first meet Mr. Zane Donovan, transferred from an FBI detention facility to Eureka's jail, Jack unfortunately gives him a TV remote so he can 'watch the game'. While Jack's out, the master hacker wastes no time instead turning the device into an IR keyboard which he can use to access the Sheriff's desktop computer and order stuff from the internet delivered to his cell (and charged to the town, of course). 

The first prop remote is seen in closeup when Zane opens it for inspection; it contains nonfunctional electronics with a few custom pieces added. The second prop remote is seen later when Zane shows off what he's been up to; it contains additional wiring, a microswitch, and blinking LEDs on a small circuit board.   The brand of remote ('Sony') has been removed from the front of each prop but is still faintly visible.
