The Fifth Element (5th), ZORG ZF-1 Weapon System *Functional Airsoft, Rocket, & Pods*
replica movie prop weapon
From Zorg Industries and the mind of Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg, the ZF-1 is the ultimate combat tool for the renaissance man, and one of the most outrageously complex personal weapons ever brought to the screen. In one deadly compact package, the ZF-1 boasts an automatic rifle (with replay), rocket launcher, flame thrower, net launcher, arrow launchers (with exploding or poisonous gas heads, very practical), and a freeze ray dubbed the Ice-Cube System.
Multiple differently configured prop ZF-1s were made for the film, in order to achieve all the effects shown onscreen. Features of this multifunctional hero replica of the Demonstration ZF-1 include:
Custom painted black gelcoat fiberglass shell and aluminum armature.
Echo 1 Vector AK47su all-metal Airsoft assault rifle, modified to fit within the ZF-1 form. Full auto, 9 rounds per second, 373 feet per second, 190 round capacity. Semi-concealed custom ammo feed system allows reloading without need for magazine removal or prop disassembly.
Articulating sight, top hatch, and arrow pods, each opened and extended by separate hidden controls just behind the grip. Stainless steel tipped aluminum arrows and spring-loaded red mini-barrel (water cannon?) extend independently into ready position.
Firing rocket launcher, with custom nerf-type rockets replacing the display Estes Bullpup rocket. CO2-powered, 35’ range.
Front and rear sight illumination with accurate sequencing light effects. Illuminating blue white sensor-lasers, red power indicator, yellow button, and red button. (You can press the red button, but don’t.)
Found items, metal parts, and cast resin parts used for the ordnance cluster, strut, button, and barrel bracket components. Sight housing and lower pod details cast from correct found Voyager, Kazon, and Maquis ship model parts. Convoluted stainless steel sight tubing. Resin grip cast from a screenused Mangalore rifle grip (identical to the ZF-1 grip). Balances on a hard rubber foot. Weight 14.5 lb.
