A casting of the adolescent xenomorph “dogburster” (or “cowburster” in the extended edition) from the third film in the Alien franchise, Alien 3. Ejected from the burning Sulaco onto the planet Fiorina 161, Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) wakes up in a remote penal colony with a xenomorph queen gestating within her chest. Teaming up with the prisoners, can they end the xenomorph threat once and for all, or will she die before she gets the chance?

This casting was created from original production moulds of the creature and kept as a memento by a member of the film’s crew. Made of slush-cast plastic, the casting is of the creature’s head and its elongated neck with exposed spines running up the back. The casting has been painted with a rough sprayed silver finish.

Featuring some wear from time spent in storage, the head casting is a fascinating insight into one of cinema’s most feared monsters, and remains in good condition.
