Xena: Warrior Princess, Xena’s gauntlets by Creation Entertainment

A replica pair of Xena’s gauntlets, made by the propmasters at Pacific Renaissance Pictures LTD in New Zealand. These replicas were licensed for a production run of 500 pairs, but I’m not sure they fulfilled the entire license. In any case, the edition number of this particular pair is unknown since they didn’t come with a COA. The armor plating is die-formed copper sheeting that has been attached to the leather with rivets and monofilament. The eyelets are one of the true tells that this is a Creation replica because production gauntlets never featured that detail. The original flat leather lacing has been replaced with black elastic cord, as was used on the gauntlets worn by Lucy Lawless, for a more screen-accurate presentation.
