Xena’s screen-used boot dagger, constructed of a heavy resin hilt inlaid with paua shells and a urethane foam blade. I believe the first appearance of this style of dagger is in “Callisto” when Xena throws it to redirect the chakram, which Callisto stole to use in an assassination attempt on the Oracle at Delphi. Other notable appearances include “Intimate Stranger,” when Callisto in Xena’s body uses it to slit Theodorus’ throat and, later, uses it in a fight against a body-swapped Xena. It also appears in the season 3 episode “The Furies” when Xena juggles it along with the chakram and an apple after being driven mad by the Furies at Ares’ request. This particular dagger has some reddish-brown splotches and drip marks on the blade that I believe to be dried faux blood that wasn’t properly cleaned, so I think it very well could be a secondary stunt prop from the scene in which Theodorus’ throat is slit by the body-swapped Callisto.
