Surrogates, Wounded Skin Appliance and Surrogate Chest Piece
original make-up / prosthetics
This is a wounded skin appliance and surrogate chest piece from the production of the 2009 sci-fi film, Surrogates. The appliance and chest piece were created as backup for use by Tom Greer (Bruce Willis) during scenes where Greer’s Surrogate is shot while chasing a suspect into a reservation for humans only.
The unused skin appliance is made from foam latex and has been painted and detailed to appear as if the wearer's chest area was badly destroyed and burnt; featuring dark detailing and open wounds throughout. Laying flat, this item measure approximately 24" x 22" (61cm x 56cm).
The surrogates chest piece is made of fiberglass; is light green, brown, and silver in color, and features black fabric straps, as well as an elastic belt that acts as a harness, allowing it to be worn and giving the effect of the wearer a robotic interior. This item measures approximately 12” x 11” (31cm x 28cm) and is in excellent condition.
