Warehouse 13, Vyasa Elephant Artifact
original movie prop
An elephant figurine, once the property of revered Hindu scribe Vyasa, is now imbued with the ability to absorb and discharge vasts amounts of electrical energy. In fourth season episode The Big Snag, Myka and Pete accidentally overload the artifact, propelling themselves into an uncompleted 1940s crime noir story in the style of Dashiell Hammett and Raymond Chandler, where the electrified elephant plays a pivotal role not unlike Hammett's more famous black bird.
Transparent hollow plastic Indian elephant figurine, with bright white LED and battery module inserted at the beast's abdomen. Although obtained from production, it is unclear whether this particular prop was used onscreen. In most scenes, the artifact appears jade green and opaque, with gold or silver decoration. This specific item however could have been used (with superimposed CGI) during early scenes at the Warehouse where the elephant at times appears transparent or translucent.
