Deep Throat, Very Rare item from controversial film
original set dressing / pieces
Deep Throat had a "deep" impact on American culture. This movie pushed the legal and moral boundaries of the entertainment industry and paved the way for the adult film industry. Often referred to as "The Gone With The Wind of Porn", this original film spawned documentaries, movies about the star (Lovelace) and inspired other feature films. This item contains 58 vintage ski patches professionally framed and sealed with craft paper. The art supply store that sealed it must have done it in the sixties sometime prior to 1972, the date of the film. This item can clearly be seen as Linda Lovelace makes her way down the stairs to the wine cellar in the infamous and extremely controversial movie Deep Throat. This item also can be seen a second time in a new and flashback scene in the 2005 documentary Inside Deep Throat. Lady in Cement, starring Frank Sinatra and Lenny, starring Dustin Hoffman were also filmed in the residence where this item hung for decades. Evidence of screen use is obvious due to the uniqueness of the patches and their position within the sealed frame.
