Jurassic Park, Unhatched Dinosaur Egg

"The dinosaurs... are breeding." A hand-painted dinosaur egg made by Stan Winston Studio for the production of Jurassic Park (1993), this background prop is the same type that Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) discovers in a nest outdoors, when he realizes that Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) was right when he predicted that life would find a way. A similar unhatched example was consigned to Heritage Auctions in 2001 by the film's art designer. Came with copies of the Tyrannosaurus rex's tooth placement charts.
