Both HCG Pulse Rifles replicas that I had previously purchased were sacrificed, their shrouds torn from their backs, to produce a pair of truly excellent pulse rifle replicas. The two weapons, one for myself and one for the propmaker, represent the first pulse rifles created by SD Studios to include true metal shrouds. Components that went into building this Ultra SD Pulse Rifle include:

HCG PR metal shroud. Required extensive milling and rebuilding to properly fit authentic hardware, with technical assistance provided by HCG design consultant Matsuo.

SD replica aluminum Thompson upper/receiver.

Thompson M1A1 lower, bolt, and magazine.

Deactivated Remington 870 shotgun. Provided by Matsuo.

SPAS-12 shotgun cage and pump.

SD replica aluminum barrel and 8-hole barrel shroud.

SD steel collapsible stock.

Matsuo resin grip.

SD custom aluminum magazine buttplate. Solidly attached to the steel Thompson magazine; can be slapped in hard, activating the -

Custom Lightbenders counter. More compact design to fit tighter space constraints. Features include “short magazine” loading (counts down from 99 to 95 on load), 10 rounds per second countdown on trigger hold, counter reset on mag replacement, and concealed power switch.
