Band of Brothers, US Paratrooper outfit named 'Malarkey'

original movie costume

The outfit comprises what appears to be an original WW2 A-class jacket complete with all insignia. This is complete with the original set 'continuity photo' which shows the actor (Scott Grimes) wearing it whilst filming the scenes in Zell-am-zee, Austria. In addition, the jacket was signed on the inside left side by the veteran Don Malarkey. This was obtained when he, Buck Compton and Buck Taylor visited England in 2008 with a Stephen Ambrose tour. The signature was obtained outside the Blue Boar pub in Aldbourne. Along with the jacket there is a pair of trousers. These are stamped US ACAD and are belived to have been used in Saving Private Ryan before Band of Brothers (a fairly common occurance). There is also an other ranks shirt from the series. This bears no markings except an extras code marking in marker on an interior label. In addition to this there is a garrison cap from the series that has an official stamp internally together with the name MALARKEY. There is also the tie that came with it. Finally there is a pistol belt from the series that has the name SOBEL on the inside.
